Hi Andy
thanks for your feedback
yes enjoy butter as it is a natural unprocessed healthy product
the best thing to control cholesterol is to improve your liver as the liver regulates cholesterol in the body
I recommend LIVATONE PLUS 2 capsules daily and BERBERINE one capsule in middle of each meal; this will help your liver to optimize your cholesterol levels
we have a book titled CHOLESEROL THE REAL TRUTH which explains everything
Cheers

Great Info here!
Realising the health benefits of keto, I'm now preferring butter instead cholesterol lowering margarine. My Doctor is not impressed with my rising cholesterol. Would citrus bioflavonoids or plant sterols supplements be ok or could they wipe out the good cholesterol benefits?
Thanks

In reply to Andrew Philips.

Hello Andrew,
To understand cholesterol please read Cholesterol, The Real Truth.
Total cholesterol is simply the total of all fractions, so if your total has risen it depends which of the sub fractions that have also changed to induce this change.
It is very unlikely that your cholesterol is contributing to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease unless your triglycerides are elevated.
With your high carbohydrate Mediterranean diet this fraction may well be elevated.
To reduce triglycerides reduce all carbohydrates in your diet, including pasta, fresh fruit, sweet potato, bun of cheeseburger, high fructose corn syrup, honey. Small portions of steel cut oats cooked in water and served with melted butter and ghee may be tolerated once triglycerides have been successfully lowered.
Artificial sweeteners may be benign or quite toxic and we recommend Nature Sweet to replace sugars.
To boost liver health begin taking Livatone Plus.
Kind regards
Victoria

Hi. Your well-written article leaves me in a familiar quandary: now that my cholesterol total has jumped from the low 200s to 257 in the last couple of years, with LDL not so bad but slightly outside the recommended range, what more can I do to lower it? I'm 66 years old, eat a Mediterranean diet and have for years, swim about 1.5 miles nonstop three-four times per week, and consume only small amounts of dairy--grated cheese on pasta, steamed milk in lattes, etc. I truly do eat fresh fruit every day, thanks to a local produce market that chops and packs it in plastic containers, plus greens of all kinds, sweet potatoes, occasional chicken (baked), and the rare cheeseburger (maybe once a year but from a gourmet take-out). I also eat all that wonderful fatty fish. Now my doctor tells me that my risk factor for heart disease is nearly double the threshold for my age, sex, etc. and wants me to take Lipitor. Can the high fructose corn syrup in my canned iced tea, honey in my hot green tea, and sweeteners in my almond milk be causing my liver to push out so much cholesterol? Should I stop eating steel cut oats, too?
