Need help figuring out why my ferritin levels are high and how to lower it.

Had ultrasound done on my liver and the findings: “Mildly echogenic liver, likely secondary to fat deposition. Small gallbladder polyps noted, highly likely to be benign. Per current guidelines, no follow up is needed”

Ferritin levels by year:

2020- 501

Hemochromatosis:
C282Y- Negative
H63D- Negative
S65C- Negative

Hi Em,

Even if your liver enzymes are normal, I’m sure if you were to get a liver ultrasound done there would be fat present in your liver.
Elevated CRP usually indicates inflammation.

Yes most likely cause for high ferritin is liver inflammation caused by fatty liver. Your ferritin is moderately raised and not severe and should reverse if you follow diet on my fatty liver videos you will be successful. I would also recommend LIVATONE PLUS 4 capsules daily.

I am a 32 year old woman and recently got blood work done.
Ferritin – 306.0 NRG/mL – High
WBC – 11.70x10E3/uL – High
Lymphocytes – 3.40x10E3/uL – High

Could you please tell me what this indicates? I have been tested for hemochomatosis and was negative. Does this sound like fatty liver?

Hello Jason,
The elevated liver tests, including Ferritin, are indications of Fatty Liver not iron overload, and there is no reason to have stopped taking Vitamin C.
Dr Cabot’s Fatty Liver book has a very effective diet plan to follow to reverse Fatty Liver or liver congestion.
