Yes, NAC is more effective when taken away from food in between meals and not close to bedtime.

Some forums are suggesting that time of day is important and that the grey zone of morning and evening is the magic time. I really feel the difference in energy when using NAC.  With this and Livertone plus, for 14 years,  my liver has healed from the after effects of hepatitis C a huge amount and i no longer experience the dragging pain in my liver.
