Feeling Tired? It Could Be Your Thyroid Gland!

The thyroid gland controls the rate at which the energy factories (mitochondria) inside all the cells in your body make energy. Thus, it is not surprising that a very common cause of fatigue is a sluggish thyroid gland.

If your thyroid gland is not making enough thyroid hormone this is called hypothyroidism.

The most common symptoms of low thyroid function are –

• Fatigue
• Weight gain
• Fluid retention
• Brain fog
• Constipation

Its easy to check your thyroid with a blood test.

Reverse T3 is a biologically inactive thyroid hormone and blocks the correct T3 from working. Higher levels of reverse T3 decrease the effect of thyroid hormone.

Look after your thyroid gland

If your thyroid needs support, try Dr Cabot’s Thyroid Hormone Cream which contains thyroid hormone from pig’s thyroid gland.

Pigs’ thyroid hormone is bioidentical to human thyroid hormone and before synthetic thyroid hormone (Synthroid) was available, that is what medical doctors prescribed for patients with an underactive thyroid gland. The equivalent doses are 100mcg of Synthroid equals 65mg of pigs’ thyroid hormone.

Pigs’ thyroid hormone is known as porcine thyroid and is also available as armour thyroid in capsule form.

Pigs’ thyroid hormone contains both forms of thyroid hormone, namely Levothyroxine (T4) and Liothyronine (T3) so it is more balanced than synthetic thyroid hormone.

You can rub Dr Cabot’s Thyroid Hormone Cream into the front of your neck to support and stimulate your thyroid gland or rub it into your inner upper arm. The cream is not designed to replace your thyroid hormone replacement but is used to stimulate and support the thyroid gland function. Thyroid cream can be used along with your thyroid replacement as it is not taken orally and is low dose.

In your body thyroid hormone is made from iodine and selenium. Many people with a sluggish thyroid gland have suboptimal levels of the essential thyroid nutrients which are iodine, selenium, zinc and vitamin D. Dr Cabot’s supplement known as Thyroid Health Capsules contains all these nutrients in balanced amounts and can benefit your thyroid gland in several ways.

Thyroid Health Capsules have these benefits:

• Improve the health of the thyroid cells
• Support thyroid hormone production
• Reduce antibodies that attack your thyroid gland
• Increase conversion of T 4 into the more active thyroid hormone T 3
